DAVID BOWIEが2003年の『REALITY』以来、１０年ぶりにニュー・アルバムをリリースするというニュースに衝撃を受けた。タイトルは『The Next Day』。プロデュースは引き続きTony Visconti。この発表がされたのは、DAVID BOWIEの６６歳の誕生日ということもあり、世界中で大きな話題となっています。

そしてアルバムより１曲『Where Are We Now?』のiTunes限定で先行配信もスタート。 PV（directed by Tony Oursler）も公開されました。

２００４年に心臓の疾患が見つかって以来、映画での出演以外の音楽的な表立った活動はまったくといっていいほど無く、事実上の引退とすら捉えていた人も多かったと思います。純粋に嬉しい限りです。

布袋さんもちょうど移住されたわけですし、何かしらの絡みを期待しているのですが・・・（＾＾）

ニューアルバムのタイトルが『The Next Day』で、ジャケット写真が、ヒーローズのジャケットをアレンジしたもの、これは何を物語っているんでしょうか？意味深です。製作期間は約２年間。リードトラックからはアルバムの全貌は掴めませんが、かなりロックなアルバムらしいです。期待しましょう。
